The Department offers a 4 year (8 semesters) U.G. Course leading to of B.E. Electrical Degree. The course has an intake of 60 students per year. The minimum entry qualification is Intermediate with Physics, chemistry and mathematics as major subjects. The admission is through an all India competitive examination conducted by the University.

The curriculum is a balanced mix of classical, modern and frontier technologies. The programme is up- grade by introducing new electives and compulsory course from time-to-time. The theory courses are adequately supplemented by laboratory classes. the students have indepth exposure to present day need of industry. The curriculum includes number of course in the areas of present day technologies like microprocessors, micro-computers, Signal processing, digital electronics, biomedical Instrumentation, System modelling, Robotics and Artificial neural networks. The students undergo a six weeks practical training in industry after their pre-final year examinations. the students undertake hardware & software based projects in their final year. the project work is initiated in Autumn Semester and completed at the end of spring semester. They spent six weeks exclusively for this work after spring semester examinations. The students are encouraged to work on industrial consultancy and sponsored projects of different organisation being undertaken by the faculty members.
