    Brief Description The conference was organised jointly by the U.P.State centre of IE (I) and Electrical Engg. Deptt. of UOR at Lucknow. The conference was well atten ded by over 100 delegates. The research papers covering wide spectrum of Biome dical Instruments and Instrumentation systems were presented. The recommendatio ns of the conference were finalized and widely circulated to all concerned dep artments/organisations/industries throughout the country. The proceeding of th e conference was printed well in advance and was given to delegates at the time of registration.

    Brief Description The workshop was organised to develop number of courses for being a dopted as compulsory, core and pool electives for education at different level s in Biomedical Engineering (BME). One complete curriculum for a degree course in BME was finalized. The courses were designed to suit their inclusion on in d ifferent branches of engineering and technology.

    Brief Description The faculty members of the department organised this conference under th e auspices of IE(I), RLC Roorkee. The conference was well attended and more than 100 research papers were presented in 6 technical sessions. The proceeding of the conference containing all the papers was broughtout well in advance and was given to delegates at the time of registration.

    Brief Description The National Convention with All India Seminar on enviornment fri endly power generation was organised by the faculty members of the departm ent under the auspices of IE(I), RLC. The papers were presented in 4 technical s essions. There was a paper meeting of Electrical Engg. Division OF IECIS. One ke y note and one invited lecture were delivered by eminent engineers in this conve ntion.

    Brief Description The conference was organised as a part of Sesquicentennial Celebr ations of the University and Golden Jubilee Year of the Department. There w ere in all 18 sessions including 16 technical, two plenary, inaugural and v ali dictory sessions. Mr. Ashok Soota, Group President, Wipro Infotech, Bangalore d elivered a highly informative keynote address. There were over 170 delegates from India and abroad including the participants from USA, UK, Germany, Switzerland, Aden, Iraq and Ethopia Industries from Roorkee and outside par ticipated in the conference exhibition. The proceeding of the conference contain s more than 140 research papers. The second volume of the proceeding is unde r publication process which will include remaining papers (not includ ed in Vol. I), recommendations of the conference, and highlights of Electri cal Engg. Department.
