Entrance Examination (REE-99) for admission to the first year of B.E. Courses in Chemical, Civil, Computer Science and Technology, Electrical, Electronics and Communication, Industrial, Mechanical, Metallurgical, Pulp and Paper and B.Arch . will be held on Wednesday May 12 and Thursday May 13, 1999 in 50 cities in the country. There shall be four papers i.e. Qualifying (objective type), Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for the candidates opting for B.E. and five papers including these four and an Aptitude Test paper for the candidates opting for B.Arch. The question papers will be both in English and Hindi with the candidates having the option to answer either in English or in Hindi. A candidate must qualify in the qualifying paper but these marks are not counted for merit ranking. INFORMATION BROCHURE AND APPLICATION FORM may be obtained from the main or specified branches of the State Bank of India in the cities as per list with effect from December 15, 1998 to January 30, 1999 excluding bank holidays, on cash payme nt of Rs. 175/- for SC/ST and Rs. 450 /- for General and all other categories including O.B.C. candidates.

Forms can also be obtained by sending a written request to the Chairman, REE-99, University of Roorkee, Roorkee - 247 667, so as to reach on or before 08.01.1999 alongwith a Bank Draft for Rs. 195/- for SC/ST and Rs. 470/- for General and all other categories including O.B.C. candidates. The draft should be drawn in favour of "REE ACCOUNT" payable at the State Bank of India, University branch, Roorkee (Code No. 1069). The application form will be despatched by registered post. The University does not take any responsibility for any postal delay/ loss.
APTITUDE TEST FEE for the candidates seeking admission to the B.Arch. Course an additional fee is to be paid as per details given in the Information Brochure .
LAST DATE: The completed Application Form must reach the office of the Chairman, REE-99 by Saturday 6th February 1999. Applications received after this date will not be accepted under any circumstances.
ELIGIBILITY: The candidates who have passed or are due to appear at the Intermediate Science Examination, 10+2 or its equivalent examination recognised by this University with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry or Geology are eligible to appear at the above Entrance Examination (REE-99.)
RESERVED SEATS: Certain number of seats are reserved for candidates belonging to various categories.
CAUTION: The University of Roorkee does not conduct any coaching classes or correspondence courses for its Entrance Examination and it has no connection with any Institute/Organisation doing such work under a deceptively similar name.
