|THE SELECTION PROCESS|
|GROUP DISCUSSION AND INTERVIEW|
On the basis of written test which will be held on May 13, 1999 the result of the short listed candidates will be informed by Registered Post and to the other candidates by the Ordinary Post. The short listed candidates will be required to appear in Group Discussion and Interview from June 16* to 18*, 1999 at Roorkee. At the time of interview and group discussion, the candidates must bring with them original and one set of attested copies of the following:
(a) Category Certificate in the proforma given in Annexure I or Annexure II if the benefit is claimed under SC/ST or OBC categories.
(b) Date of birth Certificate/ High School Certificate.
(a) Final Marksheet of Bachelor's Degree Examinations (Ist year, 2nd year, 3rd year, and final year as the case may be).
(b) Sponsorship Certificate in the proforma given in Annexure III if applicable.
(c) University employee certificate from Registrar if applicable.
Based on the four components of the entrance examination viz written test, group discussion, interview and work experience, final merit list will be pre pared and provisional admission to the MBA programme will be offered.
and wait listed candidates will be required to deposit on June 18*, 1999
a sum of Rs 5000/- in cash or through a Demand Draft drawn in fa vour of
the Registrar, University of Roorkee, Payable at Roorkee. This amount is
|DEPOSIT OF FEE AND PRODUCTION OF PROOF OF RESULT OF QUALIFYING EXAMINATION|
The successful candidates having secured provisional admission must subm it proof of having passed Bachelor's Degree Examination in the required percentage (or equivalent in terms of CGPA grade) and deposit full Fee by July 9*, 1999 failing which his admission will stand cancelled. The amount of Rs 5000/- deposited by such candidates will also be forfeited.
However, if the result of final examination is not available but the Fees are deposited in full at the candidates own risk, he/she can be considered for admission at the time of counselling if seat is available. The candidates who have fulfilled all the conditions for admission including deposition of fee will be offered formal admission and are required to register themselves personally on July 19*, 1999 at Roorkee, failing which their admission will stand cancelled. No refund of fees, except for security deposit dues and advances for mess charges, will be made by the University to such candidates.
1. The candidates offered final admission will be required to register personally on July 19*, 1999 or another date advised by the University. The candidate is required to fill up registration card and get himself registered. All new entrants are issued Identity Card, Hospital Booklet, etc at the time of first registration.
2. Regular classes will start from July 21*, 1999.
3. After registration, students should report to the Coordinator, Department of Management Studies and should submit the joining report.
4. If a candidate does not register on the prescribed date, his admission shall stand cancelled.
In case of any doubt regarding guide-lines for counselling and registration, the decision of the Vice-Chancellor shall be final.

(I) No student will be allowed to take up the semester examination unless all dues are cleared in time.
(II) In case a student withdraws, only the security & mess charges as actually due will be refunded on submission of `No Dues' certificates from Department/Bhawan/Mess/Library/Sport/Club etc. in the Accounts Section.
(III) Full dues will be realized at the time of admission, without any adjustment to any Security that may be lying with the University.
(IV) Refund of Fees: The whole amount of fees/other charges deposited by the students will be refundable after deduction of Rs.5000/- if the students do not join the programme after paying the dues and leave the University by applying for refund on or before the date of registration. No refund of fees will be pe rmissible to the students who have registered for the programme but leave immediately thereafter. In such cases only security and mess balance will be refunded.
(V) The University fee for regular students is subject to revision.
Candidates are required to submit the following documents at the time of registration.
1. Admission Form
2. Medical Certificate of Fitness
3. Six recent Photographs
5 Passport size and one coloured stamp size)
4. Transfer Certificate/ Migration Certificate (in original) from the Institution/University last attended.
5. Caste certificate in original if applicable.
6. Mark sheet/Degree (in original) of the Bachelors Degree Examination showing the required minimum percentage of marks or equivalent in terms of grade.
The wait listed candidates will be called for counselling on July 20*, 1 999. These candidates will be required to produce the proof of having passed the Bachelor's degree in required percentage (or equivalent in terms of CGPA grade). Those candidates who fail to produce the proof of having passed the Bachelor's degree examination in the required percentage at the time of counselling , will not be given admission to the MBA programme nor any amount deposited by them will be refunded.
The admission will be offered on the basis of merit and the candidates will be required to deposit Full Fee (non-refundable) immediately after the admission is offered to them.
If the University is not able to offer admission to a wait listed candid ate due to any reason, the deposit of Rs.5000/- made by such candidate, will be refunded to him.
|CANCELLATION OF ADMISSION|
The University has the right to cancel, at any stage, the admission of a candidate who is found admitted to a class to which he/she is not entitled, being unqualified or ineligible in accordance with the rules and regulations in force.

* The University has a right to change these dates, if required. However, the candidates will be informed in case of a change of date.
